The convention was held for 4 days from July 20th to July 24th at San Diego Convention Center in San Diego, USA.

７月２０日から計４日間にわたってアメリカ、サンディエゴで開催されたSan Diego Comic Convention 2016にCoolPropsも参加してきました！
SDCC is the biggest comic con in the world. And the whole city of San Diego celebrates this huge event!
サンディエゴコミコンは世界最大のアメコミファンが一斉に集うイベントという事もあり、サンディエゴの街全体はコミコン一色となっていました。
20th was a preview night and only people who have 4days passes had access to this event. Still, there were many people!
２０日はプレビューナイトという事で、４日間のパスを持っている方のみ参加できる日となっていましたが、既にすごい人の数でした！
This year, we displayed our samples at the Sideshow Collectibles booth and this was our first time to display our samples outside of Japan.
It was a great opportunity for us to see the real reactions from the collectors.
To tell you the truth, our sample of PREDATOR 2 LIFE-SIZE BUST PROP REPLICA was in San Diego last year, however, we were not able to display at the comic con. That is why, we were very happy we could display our samples this year.

そして今回のコミコンでは、SideshowブースにてCoolProps商品を展示しました！
今回が国外初の展示という事で、海外のコレクターさんの生の声が聴けるとてもいい機会となりました。
裏話となりますが、昨年PREDATOR 2 LIFE-SIZE BUST PROP REPLICAは実はSan Diegoにあったんです。ですが皆さまにお見せする事が出来なかったので、今回は皆さまに私達の商品サンプルを見て頂く事が出来、とてもうれしかったです。

The Sideshow’s booth was one of the biggest booths and we were able to show our samples to many people who visited the booth.
Sideshowのブースは会場の中でもひときわ目立つ大きさと展示数で、とても多くの方に私達のサンプルを見て頂く事が出来ました。
We also visited many booths and at the booth of Chronicle Collectible where they displayed amazing replica products from Jurassic Park franchise, we could see Sam Johns, who is known for the role of Flash Gordon from the 1980’s movie “Flash Gordon” and recently featured in the famous comedy movie franchise “TED”.

コミコンの楽しみの一つでもある、コスプレイヤーさんも沢山おられ、そのクオリティにびっくり!
And we were very lucky to meet this cute mini Predator and mini Alien Queen, who are popular among Predator and Alien fans!

そして、プレデターとエイリアンのファンの間では有名な、あのミニプレデターに会う事が出来ました！エイリアンクイーンと並んでポーズする姿はとても愛らしかったです。

On the 3rd day, we were invited to Sideshow Private Roof Top party, and we could spend amazing time with our international business partners.
３日目の夜にはSideshowのプライベートパーティ―が某ホテルの屋上階で開催され、海外のビジネスパートナー達ととてもステキで優雅な時間を過ごす事が出来ました。

なんとニュート役のキャリー・ヘンさんと、海軍フロスト役のリッコ・ロスさんにお会いする事が出来ました！

She did not appear in any movies after “Aliens” and now, she is an elementary school teacher!
30 years have passed since the movie “Aliens” and she told us when she was taking this picture, nobody at the booth realized that she was the ”Newt” from the movie.

She was very friendly and we were very happy to meet her and were very honored when she told us that she actually thought our products were amazing.

When we told we are from Tokyo, Japan, he told us how he loved Tokyo when he visited with Ken Watanabe when the production of the Japanese movie “Hayabusa”.
東京から来た事を伝えると、渡辺腱さんと一緒に日本映画『はやぶさ』の撮影で、来日された時の話をしてくれました。

激動の4日間となった、サンディエゴコミコン！色々な刺激を受け、とても素晴らしい経験となりました。
